Whether you’re driving to an interview or simply driving to work, safe driving will determine whether you’ll return to your loved ones and whether you’ll live another day.
I know because one of my best friends is no longer with us due to a car accident.
I hope you find these tips helpful.
This Will Improve Reaction Time, Speed and Focus
When you drive to and from work, you don’t want your reaction time, speed and focus to be less than their very best.
According to Men’s Health advisor, Christopher Winter, M.D.,
“The research that’s coming out now is unequivocal…Sleep—not training or working for another hour—is when your body gets stronger and your mind gets sharper…Lose sleep and your neurons start firing more slowly and working together less efficiently.”
I never thought I’d read two of the coolest athletes touting the benefits of sleep, but here it is,
“Tom Brady…aims to be in bed by 8:30 p.m. LeBron James plans his life around nabbing ten hours of shut-eye.” (1)
In the past three months, I’ve upped my daily sleep schedule to nine hours and I’ve seen a significant difference. I guard that time because I’ve seen what happens when I don’t get enough sleep.
This Will Eliminate Blindspots – It’s Not What You Think
One day God made me hesitate to pull out on the freeway. I’m glad he did because one of those 10 ton trucks was coming around the corner and I would have been obliterated.
I went to Walmart’s Automotive section and bought a Fisheye for both side mirrors. Every car we’ve owned since has had fisheyes. Two are less than ten bucks.
This Will Make Your Commute Safer
“The NHTSA reports that most accidents occur during ‘rush hour,’ between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.” (4)
